The following tips will assist you greatly in obtaining a full Bond Refund when you vacate.
- Ensure all personal belongings are removed from the property
- Stove, including elements, oven, oven racks, griller, drip trays, splash backs and sides are to be thoroughly cleaned
- Bath recess, shower, shower screen, wash basin, mirror, toilet and tiles are to be cleaned
- Laundry clean including sink
- All doors, including front door, frames are clean
- Windows, window tracks, flyscreens, security screens and window sills are to be cleaned
- Fans ands air conditioners are to be cleaned
- Light switches and light fittings are to be cleaned
- All cupboards are to be cleaned and all personal items removed
- All marks are to be removed from walls and ceilings. If necessary, walls and ceilings must be washed.
- Curtains are to be washed, ironed and hung back up
- All hard floors must be washed and skirting boards cleaned and dusted
- Carpets are to be steam cleaned by a professional and a receipt must be given to our agency, if specified in the agreement
- Cobwebs must be removed from both inside and outside of the dwelling
- All lights are to be working and blown light bulbs must be replaced
- Front and back patios – walls, floor, railings and outdoor lights must be cleaned
- Garage empty and swept clean
- Lawns are to be moved, edges trimmed and gardens weeded
- Driveway free of leaves, dirt and marks
- Internal and external flea control is to be carried out by a licensed pest controller if pets were kept at premises, if specified in the agreement
- Items that have been broken or damaged must be repaired or replaced
- Rubbish that will not fit into the bin is to be removed from the premises and the bin is to be placed out ready for collection
- Gas, electricity and phone accounts cancelled or transferred
- Mail forwarded to new address
- The dwelling will not be considered vacated until ALL KEYS are returned to our office and rent will be charged until that time.
